Abstract

Potato starch based films with different amounts of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs ZnO) were obtained from a solution-casting method with microwave heating. The films were characterized chemically, thermally and mechanically. The NPs ZnO content affected the mechanical and anti- fungal response of the films made. The thermal or microstructure properties of the films were no affected by NPs ZnO content.
